Carnival masks

Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday. It is a festival celebrated in France on Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. It marks the end of the pre-Lent. In the U.S. this holiday is celebrated lavishly in New Orleans, Louisiana. The embodiment of New Orleans Mardi Gras is often one of debauchery and bad action, but was somewhat restrained by the recent floods hit the city. Mardi Gras season begins January 6 and ends on the day before Ash WednesdayWednesday.

There is something very dramatic to celebrate carnival. People wear costumes and beads in this day and celebrated with a parade, a special party and also a ball on Mardi Gras.
